We manufacture brand new Corvette Tachometers
Corvette Specialties of MD West is the industry supplier for new tachometers
Corvette tachometers are a big deal here at Corvette Specialties of MD West. We build each unit here in our facility by hand, with all new parts. Accurate calibration ensures each tachometer is ready to go for installation in your vintage Corvette.
From 1953 to 1962 there were 18 tachometer versions from the factory (excluding the 57 RPO steering column mounted tachometer). We offer each version, painstakingly constructed to meet your high expectations. We used digital imaging to replicate the 8 different face versions of the the 1959-1962 models. Even the colors match the originals!
We stock all 18 original mechanical versions plus 12 electronic versions for those who want to eliminate the mechanical tachometer, but retain the original appearance. We build each electronic tachometer from scratch using the same cases, faces, etc. as the mechanical versions, but we install an electronic module and calibrate using a digital square wave generator for accuracy. These units are ready to install!
Some reproduction speedometers and tachometers in the industry use their own versions of internals which cannot be serviced with original equipment parts. That is not the case at Corvette Specialties of MD West. Our mechanical tachometers can be serviced with original equipment parts. We do not use proprietary parts that would make our units a throwaway should they require service in the future.
Mechanical cable-driven or modern electronic: You make the choice.
For 1965-1974 owners, we offer an additional 26 different configurations of tachometers in both mechanical and electronic versions. All are built right here in our facility. For 1963-1964 owners, we do have restored units available for purchase or we can restore your unit. Unfortunately electronic tachometers for 1963-1964 model years are not available at this time.
Need parts for your tachometer? We also offer housings, internal parts, bezels, lenses, pointers, hardware, magnets, speed cups, and faces. Please note, in order to replace these service parts, special tools and calibration equipment may be required.
We manufacture all of these individual parts, and many more, in stamped steel. Identical to the original parts.
