This is a NOS GM Battery Hold Down for 1956 through 1966 Corvettes without Air Cond. The hold down secures the battery into the tray. It is a Genuine GM new old stock part in good condition with surface shelf wear. The heat shield is sold separately. Original GM part number 3710825. We also have the heat shield, in New Old Stock. These were spot welded to the hold. down.
