Has the search for viable C2 and C3 Corvette parts been a struggle? Does it seem like you can’t quite find exactly what it is that you’re looking for no matter how hard you search? We can help. Here at Corvette Specialties of MD West, we have the quality parts to not just restore your Corvette to how you remember it, but, in many cases, to make it better than ever.
One way that we’re able to adequately replace your original parts is to do so with, well, the original parts. To that end, we have plenty of NOS parts available for C1, C2, and C3 Corvettes. That’s not to say that we lack quality reproduction and restoration parts (we sure have plenty of those) but, as of this writing, we also have the NOS parts below.
1970-1972 Corvette Left Front Side Marker Lamp
Brand new. That’s what so many of our NOS parts are. That doesn’t mean that they were “just manufactured,” or anything like that. Far from it. Instead, these are the opposite: they were manufactured back in the day (to use a phrase).
These parts have never been installed in any Corvette. You can inspect this for yourself as they’re still in the original GM part box. As you might imagine, being the original part, they have all of the details “right.” That means they have the amber colored lens with the Chevrolet logo, the markings of “SAE API 70 LF.” Beyond that, if you look to the rear, you’ll note the lens opening as well as the two post mounts. This is the part as you remember it.
NOS Parts for Specific Corvettes
Here at Corvette Specialties of MD West, we take pride in offering parts for a wide range of Corvettes. C1, C2, and C3 Corvettes – if you have a classic Corvette (as well as “restomods” and the like) we most likely have parts for it. That said, we also take pride in offering parts just for one kind of Corvette or another. That way, we’re able to offer the parts that some Corvette owners have been specifically looking for.
Case in point: the 1967 Corvette Left Reverse Lamp Lense that we’re currently offering. Not only is this an NOS part, it’s still in the sealed GM wrapper. As you may know, this lens wasn’t used for many models of Corvettes – it was used for only one year of production. We’re always glad to be able to help Corvette owners who want their Corvette to look as original and genuine as possible. As such, this part is only for 1967 Corvettes.
NOS Parts to Protect Your Corvette
So many of the parts we offer for classic Corvettes are designed to increase your Corvette’s performance. Discovering Corvette owners install these in their Corvettes to make them better than ever, to perform better than they ever have. That said, we also offer parts that can do more than that, too. One such part is the 1963-1982 Corvette Spare Tire Lock Cover/Boot – NOS.
This NOS rubber/cover boot is designed to mount over the spare tire lock on any Corvette made between 1963 and 1982. The way it works is that it slips over the lock, thus protecting the key access from road debris. So, instead of being concerned that debris from your journey is going to damage your spare tire lock key access in any way, you can take care of that with an original part. Furthermore, it offers key access for lock removal, too, so that you can always take care of what you need to take care of.
Yes, with this NOS part, as with so many others, there are reproductions available. But, those are recognizable as reproduction quite easily. The seam in the rubber (a telltale sign) is obvious to laypeople, to say nothing of judges. If you’re looking for judging points, then look no further than this part.
Beyond NOS
NOS parts are great for just about any corvette, but, they’re far from the only kinds of parts that we offer. For some, a reproduction part is going to be a much, much better fit for both them and their Corvette than a NOS part might be.
